JOB PURPOSE

To plan and prioritize production schedules and manage the inventory or raw materials, WIP’s, and FG’s at MPC and to maximize efficiency and minimize delay to operations

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, maintain, and prioritize production schedules, and support resource and shift planning
  • Set daily priorities & facilitate daily open issues list and morning meeting
  • Maintain, count, and investigate inventory of RAW, WIP’s, and FG’s
  • Short & long-range capacity planning
  • Facilitate and plan all trials, bank builds, build-outs, and ramp-up plans & introduction and elimination
  • Communicate and manage production escalations
  • Monitor and track schedule attainment and uptime
  • Set SS, Min/Max levels and support “Plan For Every Part” to support customer schedules, and maximize C/O efficiencies
  • Support material handling duties and setting priorities
  • Support 5S initiatives
  • Distribute work and ensure team members have everything they need to succeed
  • Ensure department deliverables are being tracked and met, and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues
  • Promote MPC’s core values and actively contribute to a positive and rewarding team environment
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post Secondary Education in a related technical field or 3 years related work experience
  • Experience as a supervisor
  • Experience in production planning
  • Experience in shop floor production
  • Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
